A Mentor is defined in the dictionary as "A wise and trusted counselor or teacher". The Florida Association of Equine Practitioners defines a mentor as a member, eager and willing to teach other FAEP practitioner members (on a one-on-one basis), about practices and procedures in the chosen field of equine medicine. Mentoring allows one veterinarian to pass along invaluable information to others and to share resources, skills, and specialties; while the mentored party reaps the immeasurable benefits. Members need only to call the FAEP office where you will be connected to the people who can assist you with your needs and questions. Being a mentor takes very little time and effort, yet the benefits for both parties are huge! - Radiology
